We started out in 1988 as Karmann Ghia Parts and Restoration, and quickly became the world’s largest supplier of restoration parts and accessories for Karmann Ghias. We knew we could apply what we’d
learned to other models, and opened Airhead Parts in 2005 to service all rear engine Volkswagens.
We list nearly 10,000 part numbers and we supply the industry with close to 1000 reproduction parts that we manufacture ourselves. When you buy one of these parts from us, it’s GUARANTEED FOR LIFE!
I WANT MY TREFFEN!!!
Can't wait till next year's treffen!!! Getting my babies ready!!
It's a long haul back home from San Diego, and it's late, but we made it home to Ventura with no drama. In fact, Treffen 22 was the most laid back one yet! We're still hoping to get something together for the fall, so please keep an eye on the page here.
I'm going to unload the bus, crash out and I'll update with more treffen pictures tomorrow. Sleeping in my own bed tonight!

Last Day 2019
Heading home 2019 border to border complete, will take me two days to get home. I'd do all over again anytime
After the early run to the Border in the morning we turn around and start the sprint back to Port Angeles. Ventura for Sunday night and then 5 days of cruising and keeping my fingers crossed that nothing lets go. It's been a great trip as always.
I have finally uploaded all my pictures from 2018. Now I'm going through my 2019 photos that never got posted last year.
Well, we made it home today (virtually). The only problem was a loose wire to the fuel cutoff valve on the carb...and that was on the first day as we did our "Departure in Spirit" from Ediz Hook ( the only part of Treffen that we ACTUALLY drove this year 🙁 ) Sure did enjoy the "drive" through L.A. this year though ! 😀 Now to scrape off the bugs for our Virtual Parade tomorrow.
I'm wrapping up Day 9 at the cliff-side mansion we rented for Treffen in Laguna Beach! Parking for 40 on site, and an additional 70 cars down the hill with shuttle service running until 1am! Dave Braun is roasting a pig and VWoA is giving everyone here a voucher for a new electric bus! BEST DAY 9 EVER!
***Is what we would be saying if I didn't have to cancel the mansion and stuff 😉 ***
Today would have been the free show at Channel Islands Harbor (yay!), before slogging down through Los Angeles in the afternoon (Boo!), so I guess at least we dodged that bullet 🙂
See everybody in the morning!

Heading to Imperial Beach from Channel Island 2019
The weather was perfect for bagels and coffee on the beach this morning, it's too bad we weren't there!
This evening we'd be rolling in to Ventura, where we had big plans to make up for last year.
We had two large downtown parking lots reserved for Treffen 21, but when I arrived about an hour ahead of the group, both were full of boring new cars!
My usual city contact was out on vacation, but his "man on the ground" was downtown setting up for an outdoor movie screening, so I went and introduced myself. He rushed some barriers over and got us a good chunk of California street blocked off for Volkswagen parking. It was a huge help, and much appreciated! Parking was indeed rough for a lot of folks though.
Next year, we'll be back to it! ... See MoreSee Less
Yeah, last year didn't look like that 😂 Thanks for pulling a rabbit outta yer butt Andre Toselli so we could at least park the folks who started on day 1
Well, Treffen is rolling along as smooth as ever-- this may be the most trouble free cruise yet!
We'd be camping tonight in SLO, as we've grown too large to fit in to our old spot in Big Sur, which I think is probably the most beautiful stretch of road on the trip. Every day is gorgeous though... well... Day 9 a little less so 😉
I dug out a bunch of beach pictures, so enjoy a preview of tomorrow morning's breakfast action! ... See MoreSee Less
HWY 1 South on our way to SLO
One of my favorite memories OSO may he RIP and G at the barbecue near SLO 2019
Seeing the cars at Farmer’s Market was great! Hoping to join the full trip one of these years
